Is your glass half full or half empty? Stay positive.

When I looked at my roll of toilet paper this morning, I realized my daughter was onto something.  She was saying, "Mom, once you get through the loops and mess, there is something really clear on the other end. "

That led me to think about our economy...will this chaos and frenzy and "glass-half-full" feeling we are experiencing lead us to a state of clarity? Because, I think the outcome will be much better for those of us who can stay positive, work harder to get through the loops, and see the chaos as a path to something much greater, more positive, and stronger than what we can only dream of today.

What's left if we bail out now?  How dirty are you willing to get?

  • STAY FOCUSED
  • SEE A PROJECT THROUGH ITS END
  • KEEP POSITIVE
  • ASSURE YOURSELF IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD
  • TAKE SOME TIME TO ENJOY EACH DAY AND APPRECIATE WHAT YOU CAN MAKE OF IT, AS IT IS.

Stephanie,

Doing the opposite of all that...is fruitless...and wasteful...we MUST stay positive...and we MUST enjoy and appreciate all that we DO have...each and EVERY day.

Getting ourselves all in a wad serves nothing but to deflate.  Be positive, no one cares to work with negative people or be around them.  Be a magnet for success.

I have been doing real estate since 1978 and have been through these downs many times.  In times like this, all you have is your faith, and all you have that you can control is your attitude.  You get down, you are lost.  Lose your faith, you are lost.  Not only see the glass as half full, but  appreciate the fact that you have a glass and it has something in it.  When you hear others being down, tell them to look around.  There are tons of people who are worse off.  We are in a business right now with no inventory problems, prices are great, and sellers are cutting unbelievable deals.   With the right mind set, now is a great time to be selling real estate.  You have the right attitude.  Stay positive.  This too shall pass.

Absolutely!  we need to be focused and positive as much as possible... I would add that we have to hunt for the positive amongst the negative. Most of the negative headlines in the paper have positive with in the article, you have to hunt for it, but it is there... Being armed with that positive information when dealing with our clients is a major +
