Last night at the MRSD board meeting the Sullivan warrant article was approved/passed and our dates for the deliberative session (Oct. 13) and the special district vote (Nov. 27) was approved! Today Jen Gates-Labadie (Sullivan's rep on MRSD board and also chair of the withdrawal committee) is heading to Whitefield, NH (bless her!) to the NH Dept of ED board meeting as they (hopefully) approve our town's withdrawal plan! It's on the "consent agenda" so we expect great news today.
NEXT and biggest hurdle, get the help from MRSD voters to go to the special district vote November 27th and vote their support for Sullivan's withdrawal.
Challenge: because it's a special vote and not held on a regular voting day, only those who really care to have a say will show up, so please please put it down in your calender and forward this email to anyone who may be interested in helping Sullivan withdraw from MRSD. The committee and I have worked so hard for this and now we need community support. The town of Sullivan overwhelmingly supports this, as does the MRSD board and we are at the mercy of the district voters now:) We can do IT!
Please help spread the word and take 15 minutes that day (Nov. 27) to vote for Sullivan's withdrawal.
